Wollastonite (CW) offers a unique blend of nutrients that can replace lime with a balanced ratio of calcium and magnesium and plant available silicon. Silicon reduces pest and disease pressure and increases tolerance to drought and temperature extremes in a wide variety of crops. When CW  is spread on your fields, hundreds of tonnes of CO₂ are permanently captured as inorganic carbon within 12 months. This carbon capture is used to subsidize the cost of the wollastonite and spreading.

Details

• CW releases calcium like lime but will not move pH above 7
• CW is composed of calcium, silicon, magnesium, potassium, sulphur, and micronutrients
• Silicon is known to boost yields, improve crop quality, and reduce pest and disease damage
• CO₂ is captured when CW reacts with weak acids in rainwater to form bi-carbonate ions that flush down into the soil and eventually oceans for permanent storage
• Use 1.3 mt of CW to replace 1 mt lime (80% CCE)
• Wollastonite is registered with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and certified as an organic approved input in both Canada and US through the Organic Materials Research Institute (OMRI).
